This is the book that coined the phrase 'Anything Goes+' in the pursuit of research. Provides the scientific underpinning for Alternate Competing Hypotheses+ (ACH). Calls for the use of counter-induction -- essentially taking positions contrary to prevailing theory as a means to advance science. Argues that empirical evidence is not as 'factual' as it claims: all evidence is theory-bound, and as such is 1) erroneous or 2) subject to a completely revolutionary interpretation. So ACH should be extended to include alternates that are in disagreement with the current observational data set. This is analogous to the CIA approach which recognizes that observation is often clouded by deliberate deception.
