Revelation+. Economic field of study which attempts to identify or structure mechanisms by which parties to an economic transaction find it advantageous to reveal their 'hidden information' (e.g., flaws in a used car). The e-bay bidding structure is often pointed to as a classic example of one of these mechanisms.
