Title: Accountability
An annoying cumbaya approach to allowing employees to have more freedom, based on their demonstration of greater responsibility. This book is typical of the Human Capital approaches to effectiveness that we eschew in World Class R&D. The book has little recognition of 'behaviors are ugly' and does not address Key Behavioral Moments+. It unquestioningly makes the assumption that treating people nicely will lead to greater levels of productivity. This may be a good book for small manufacturing operations, but is not applicable to industrial R&D where individuals can be infinitely creative in gaming its recommendations.
